The video is an interview with me, in which I talk about how ‘The Self Reconciliation Project’ came about and the journey it took me on.
The project draws on my practice-led research during my residencies at the Fremantle Arts Centre in Western Australia and Central Craft in Mparntwe /Alice Springs, as well as my collaboration with the composer and sound artist, MJ, from ‘Those Who Ride With Giants’.
A descendant of settlers, I share my personal journey towards truth-telling and truth-sharing. It is about the notion of self-reconciliation— confronting truths and acknowledging the past.
My solo exhibition, 'Shifting Perspectives: The Self Reconciliation Project', at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery in May 2026, uses ceramics, soundscapes, and mixed media to convey a narrative of shifting perspectives.
You can read more about the project and the residencies, and listen to the soundtracks.
Collaboration: Soundtracks from collaboration with composer and sound artist, MJ from Those Who Ride With Giants.
